Art Inspiration

The inspiration for my art started during COVID. As the virus continued to drag on, glamour and style of life seemed far distant. High fashion went from gorgeous gowns flowing down the runway to yoga pants worn from Monday to Sunday. Drawing elegant fashion illustrations gave me a platform to express my femininity and love of style.

In each drawing, the models are designed with an exaggerated female frame giving an elegant appearance that puts fantasy before reality. I wanted to pair each female with a stunning gown inspired by old Hollywood glamour. Marilyn Monroe, Veronica Lake, Ava Gardner, Brigitte Bardot, Diana Ross, and countless other famous women wore gorgeous dresses that emphasized their features and personalities. I sought to capture this era's sophistication, beauty, and femininity. My fashion illustrations are embellished with rhinestones, pearls, and glass beads, creating mosaic art.
